Earick Dismisses Spurs Takeover Bid Post-Initial Contact

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Daniel Levy oversaw Tottenham's relocation to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in recent years.

US technology mogul Earick has ruled out submitting an official acquisition offer for Spurs.

The club had earlier “unequivocally rejected” an preliminary inquiry from a syndicate spearheaded by Brooklyn Earick last period and insisted the organization was unavailable for purchase.

However the nation's corporate governance laws stipulated that, following an expression of interest declined, the interested parties needed to make an offer by the October deadline or announce they would not do so.

Verification of the decision was issued in a announcement issued by the club to the financial markets, stating the team is “ceased to be in an acquisition window.”

The entrepreneur published an snapshot of the release on social media, remarking: “It's been a privilege interacting with Tottenham Hotspur and the Lewis family's representatives over the past few months.

“I have deep admiration for the club, its leadership, and its followers, and hope for nothing but success.”

Spurs' leadership acknowledged the syndicate for its “constructive approach” in talks and for “acknowledging the firm stance” of the proprietors that the club is unavailable.

The entrepreneur is a ex-disc jockey who also worked in aerospace studies for NASA before creating the innovation company, which concentrates on innovation, communications, sport and entertainment.

Earick's proposal was the third approach declined by the club's board since the sudden departure of top executive Levy in September.

On 8 September, the organization turned down approaches from previous club stakeholder Staveley's PCP International and a group led by Kennedy and the co-investor through Firehawk Holdings.

The former chairman and his relatives own about a significant stake of Enic Holdings – which has an nearly 87 percent shareholding in the club.

Levy was the the league's longest-serving chairman and is estimated to have received more than £50m during his almost quarter of a century in the role.

However he was also the subject of regular protests by the club's followers, particularly last term as Premier League performances were unsatisfactory.

Tottenham secured their first trophy in seventeen years when they beat Manchester United in the May Europa League final.
